Certified Safety Practitioner (CSPraยฎ)
Who is Certified Safety Practitioner (CSPra) is a safety practitioner who accomplishes the supervision and management work of safety activities at the middle managerโs level.ย He/she enforces policies and safety programs, supervises training, and occasionally performs functions of a technical nature in the safety field.
He/she is responsible for the coordination of safety programs with all elements of an organization in order to secure the most effective results through and with other people.ย He/she is responsible for suggesting programs or policy changes as they pertain to safety.
Under crisis conditions, he/she will develop and implement special programs as the situation requires. He/she must have adequate knowledge and expertise in both management and safety to accomplish his/her mission.
ASSHPย is accredited by theย American Certification Service โ Global Program (ACS-GP) under ISO/IEC 17024 โ Requirements for bodies operating certification of persons.
ASSHP sets certification criteria for Certified Safety Practitioner (CSPraยฎ) through the ISO/IEC 17024 standards for personnel certification.ย
Application Criteria for CSPraยฎ
haveย minimum of a bachelorโs degree in any field or a professional qualification in occupational health and safety recognized by international safety organizations or other approved disciplines by the Board.
have seven (7) years of safety experience where safety is at least 50% preventative*, professional level with his/her safety duties.

Your duties are actively involved with provision of day to day risk assessments and control measures to protect people, and prevent incidents/ accidents at work
Must pass the CSPraยฎย examination
Maintain your certification
